Empower Your Career with Coaching For The STEM Woman

Hey STEM Woman, I see you.

I see your struggles and frustration.

And  I've been where you are. I spent years struggling to advance my  engineering career. Working hard, trying to do the right thing. To  innovate, prove my technical worth, and add value to the company and the  world.

But it seemed like at every turn, I slammed into a wall. Or a ceiling.

Credit  for my work went to someone else. I was always in the shadows while I  helped others gain visibility. Titles, raises and promotions went to my  male coworkers. All the while I tirelessly brought in revenue and  supported everyone else’s work. I was completely stressed and burnt out.

I started to think “It must be me”.

And my mind began asking questions: Was it my technical capabilities? My experience? My personality?

Was I not enough?

Nope. People would tell me:

“You’re so smart.”

“No one else can do what you do.”

“We really need you.”

I  was discouraged and confused. Then, a lifetime in science and  engineering led me to do some critical thinking. I started researching  gender bias and corporate culture.

And discovered IT'S NOT ME.

The  corporate system is dysfunctional for women, especially in science and  technology companies. It was built by men, for men. Women are on the  outside and, in most companies, gender inclusion is a joke. This BS  tears you down, makes you feel like you don’t belong, like you are not  good enough.

But it’s just that: BS. You ARE good enough.

For me, realizing that "it wasn’t me" was a turning point. And I went from frustrated and ready to quit…

…to  being a respected senior manager and successfully overseeing tens of  millions of dollars of high technology product business.

…to getting personally invited to be on the advisor team to the C-Suite.

…and to reaching a comfortable retirement when one out of two STEM women walk away from their careers.

Here’s how I did it:

I observed, learned and finally saw how the system works. I focused relentlessly on what was important to me and what I felt was the right thing for me and the companies that I worked for (despite what management said).

I created a personal roadmap for my career and my life and followed that winding path.

And I always had a Plan B.

Now  I own my achievements and am proud of them. They are my technical  accomplishments, the coworkers I’ve helped grow along the way, the young  engineers I’ve mentored, and the respect of the corporate clients I  have served.

And, yes, I feel rewarded because of the successes I helped build for everyone else.

If you have read this far, I’m guessing this resonates with you.

Are  you stuck in mid-career and thinking about throwing in the towel? Or  are you just starting out or looking to get back in to your career and  you are anxious about what working in STEM is really about? Maybe you  just wish you had a safe space to talk through all of this?

I started coaching to help women like you.

To  create that safe space where you can talk freely about what you are  facing in your career with another woman who understands. And to share my experiences and insights because I have been there, in real science and technology industries, for 35+ years.

Are you ready to take a close look at where you’re going and what’s standing in your way?

It  would be my pleasure, and honor, to help you own the achievements you  have worked so hard for and make your career vision a rewarding reality.  I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
